“In the Forest”: Nature-inspired Cottagecore mushrooms for decorating, gifting, and more

Today I want to share a collection that encapsulates that world where art and the forest meet: the new Prim Dolls “In the Forest” box, inspired by nature and other small visual treasures that are part of my creative universe.

But first, the table of contents for this post: remember to find the Spanish version by clicking here.

~ About the collection ~

Each mushroom in this series is handmade, one by one, in a slow and careful process that honors the beauty of nature. They are made of corduroy fabric, with a warm texture reminiscent of forest moss, and delicately embroidered with cotton threads that simulate plant shapes, polka dots, or subtle veining. These pieces are conceived not only as decorative objects, but as poetic objects: small fragments of the forest to bring into the home.

The box containing them, called “In the Forest”, was created so that anyone who opens its lid can remember the warm forest and feel themselves among branches, leaves, and wild berries. In a world where technology and immediacy rule, it’s important to take a moment to reconnect with nature.

~ Photography as a daily ritual ~

Photography is an essential part of my process as an artist. It’s not just about capturing a product, but about creating an atmosphere. The images that accompany this collection were taken with a dark, moody, cottagecore aesthetic, in deep tones, and with soft, natural light. Amidst green leaves and real, hand-picked blackberries, each photo tells a story: that of a forest frozen in time, where everything is still, where everything invites contemplation.

Also part of this scene is a brown bonnet containing a small handmade rabbit-head pin. A simple, almost secret object, reminiscent of old games, dress-up, and rainy days spent indoors. These details are part of the narrative I try to weave: a way of life that values craftsmanship, that which is made with intention, that which is treasured.

Photography was the medium for capturing the essence of “In the Forest.” Each shot seeks to pay homage to the handmade, the natural, and the simple.
